The Magic Unicorn
THE MAGIC UNICORN

CHAPTER 1
“Pippa, there’s going to be a new girl in riding school, so groom the HORSES!” shouted Wendy “ yes Wend” called Pippa. Today was a busy day in rainbow riding school. Becky was at the riding school first, like always she choose Pepsie. He was a black horse with a white mane and tail. “ shall I put the saddle on” Becky asked. “ no, my dear we’re riding bare back today” answered Wendy. “ but what about the new girl?” asked Becky. “ she’ll have to do It as well. She raised her eyebrow and walked away. Soon Alice walked in and choose Lossie. He was a white pony with black mane and brown tail. Then Susie came in and choose moonlight. He was a grey horse with a black mane and tail. Along came Sassy and choose a shire called Caramel. He was a dun colour with a caramel mane and tail. Then at last the new girl came. She had dark skin with brown hair. “ welcome to rainbow riding school. Whats your name?” asked Wendy. “ my name is Amy and I’m 9 years old” Amy said. And Wendy showed her the stables. “ which pony do want to ride? Do you want Lilly whos naughty or poppy?” “I like , ummm aaaa Poppy.” said Amy. So she had her first ride on Poppy. She was tossing her head and every time Amy was going to fall off the saddle, the dark brown pony would swerve to the right “thank you” sighed Amy. “Ok now jump off your pony and head for the stable. Amy found her ponies stable and give her a rub down.” after they did that Amy’s mother came down to ask how she coped. “I coped wonderful, O Poppy is awesome! Sassy taught me how to rub down a pony!” when Amy went home she told everyone about her visit. The next day she got the same pony and did her chores. But at that very moment the police came. The police was very red in the face and roared “ wheres my horse?” he strolled in and looked in every stable and went in his car and drove off.
“ whats wrong with hin?” asked Sassy. Nobody new but they thought, what was wrong? The next day was miserable, it was raining, and Amy wondered what to do. She sat in her chair reading a book in till she heard a loud bang on the door. To her it sounded like a pony rearing and banging the door but how?
This was a confusing , it is only rain, what pony would be afraid of rain, then a thought struck her, was it really the police pony or she must have been mistaken…………
CHAPTER 2
Amy folded her page and ran to the doors spying glass, and to her horror it was not a pony or a police pony, it was a goat! But whose goat, there was no farm around and nobody would just leave a thing, so she thought if I leave it out there, it would catch a cold and if I take it I’ll be grounded. She had to get help , but who? Her parents was gone out and her older sister was in the bath so she thought hard and anyway goats don’t catch a cold so easily and she waited for her sister to come down. It took an hour for her to go down and while she was waiting she heard the goat sneeze, it caught a cold. “ o! no, he caught a cold, help!” then instead of amys sister she heard a stamp of hooves Amy ducked for a hiding place, did the goat come in? then she heard a voice. “are you hiding from me, neigh , you know me , don’t you, poppy the pony you've just ridden.” poppy said. “you talk! Can you fly? Can I ride you? Do you now that goat?” Amy asked.
“all the answers to your questions is yes and that goat was me pretending to have a cold, mind DO NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT ME ok, come we want to go flying, ok? You will not fall of unicorn power is special, it would help you grow confidence, neigh! Ride.
So in two strides poppy took off. In the morning amy found herself lying on her bed, maybe it was a dream, or wasn’t it? Soon she was at the stables grooming poppy. She talked to poppy and said “ are you really my magic pony?” poppy nodded as to say yes I am but amy wasn’t looking. The red faced police came again and said “ were is my horse?” and he marched away. “ I have grave news for all of you, poppy is sold. Sorry amy but she is sold to miss Gaggy.” amy felt tears in her eyes but didn’t cry, she just kept quiet. When her mum came she noticed her face. “ whats wrong my pet?” Mum asked. “ oh mum poppy is sold to miss Gaggy! Who ever she is.” said amy. It was amys birthday.
Chapter 3
“ I have a surprise for you. It is your only present from us.”
Mum smiled. So she put a cloth on her eyes and took it off, it was the best surprise in the world! There standing was poppy! Amy gasped, her own pony!
“ mum I don’t know what to say, thank you!” amy breathed. So amy tacked poppy up and rode, then she found a bookshop. Miss cackles bookshop it said. Amy tied poppy up and went inside. She looked at the pony books then she saw a unicorn book, it said how to look after your unicorn. “ I had one before, the first night I had a dream and the next my mum buys me one.” said miss cackle. Amy looked at her as if she was mad. “ no I’m not being mad I did. What colour is your new pony?” “ dark brown.” amy said “ I knew it. Take the book for free, a present off me. A birthday present.” miss cackle smiled. So amy took it and rode home. What was miss cackle saying about? Unicorns don’t exsist do they? In the night amy read books, tonight amy was going to read the unicorn book.
The front page said: if your going to have a unicorn first you will have a Dream about one. then your mum will buy you one on your birthday, it will be dark brown one and used to live in a riding school, she will be [ unicorns are shes not hes.] kind , loyal and will never buck as unicorns are very kind…… what was that talking about? Her pony was every word of that, unless… no it can’t be can it? Poppy was a unicorn?
“ darling pack everything up, we’re moving to Uniland farm. Sam get chester out of here! Amy go for your last ride before you leave, poppy is ready for you.” so amy nodded and ran out. She took her out to the woods, and stopped. Then suddenly poppy yanked at the reins and turned back, she new if they went any further amys parents would be worried. So amy listened and headed back.
CHAPTER 4
In the morning Amy found her self in her new room of Uniland.
As amy woke up she looked out of her window, she saw poppy grazing, she looked at amy,amy grinned then ran down for chores. First she did the stable, then grooming and last of all the washing. Amy was proud of her self, poppy looked like a princess. Amy went to have breakfast, then got dressed. “ amy , coming, to our neighbours farm? They have a little girl called Fiana. You could ride poppy over and I ride my bike ok?” mr Gaggy asked and amy nodded. She rode over and on the way she saw a woods. “ daddy can I go in the woods after the visit?” amy asked. “ yes.” mr gaggy said.
So eventually they got there and Fiana was the funniest, first she went on her horse the wrong way, then she jumped off the pony [whos called star.]
Then miss cackle [Fianas mum] came and looked at poppy, then said good bye and amy went. “ can I go to the woods now?” amy begged then mr Gaggy nodded and amy rode off. Poppy yanked at the reins and amy let her lead the way. Amy looked around, then poppy went to a over grown path. It was dark and amy felt a little frightened. But then it came to an end. Amy felt relieved and dismounted. She looked around it was the most beautiful place in the world. There was blue and purple flowers, blue and purple, they looked familiar but she couldn’t remember were she has seen them…..
CHAPTER 5
Amy frowned where has she seen them? Then poppy whinnied, she mounted and went home. She decided to go to her mums bedroom, she looked in every flower book she could find. The blue and purple flowers wasn’t in a single one. Then she gave up and went in her room. She looked in her unicorn book to read more pages, then as she turned the pages she saw the flowers! Amy stared at the writing, it said : Bluevilet flowers, used for the turning and undoing spell. Shape: love heart. Colour: blue and purple….. amy couldn’t believe her eyes! “ this is true” amy gasped. She ran out in the morning to do her chores. She got the unicorn book and looked franticly at the pages. “ there must be the spells here” amy said. Then amy came aware that poppy had stopped eating and trotted up to her. Poppy blew on the pages she blew and blew in till she stopped. Amy looked, there was a spare page, it was some sort of poem, it said:
Dragons are red,
Fairies are blue
Unicorns are real
And those are too.
[ turning spell.]
Dragons are red
Fairies are blue
All of these are a secret
And so is your unicorn
[undoing spell]
Amy gaped. The turning words!
Then poppy blew the page, more writing! She read:
To make the spell work you have to get a bluevilet a single hair off a unicorn.then put it In water and it will be ready in midnight, tip it in your hands then say the turning spell. amy put the book down.
CHAPTER 6
Amy went in for supper, after supper she made the special poison, she put in all the ingredients and waited for midnight. At last it struck twelve o clock. Amy rushed outside and tipped the water on her hands and said “dragons are red, fairies are blue, unicorns are real, and those are to.” nothing happened, amy felt a wave of disappointment and droppd the water. Then a bright blue flash came, it was so bright that amy fell over. When she got up poppy was gone, but when she looked up, she saw a snow white unicorn.
“ poppy?” said amy. “ yep I’m a unicorn.” poppy said proudly. “ wait till everyone now’s about this!” amy said. “ wait, your not allowed to tell everyone about me! I’m your secret, if you tell someone they might force me to do powers on them, they could kill me! I want to go flying! Come on jump on my back, you won’t fall off because unicorn power is special.” poppy answered. Amy didn’t need telling twice so she jumped on her back and they went flying.
Then amy caught a movement in the trees. “ poppy stop, look, there is a horse down there!” amy gasped. Poppy swooped down and landed.the horse was brown all over with a police horse mask on. 
Amy gasped, she remembered the moody policeman saying about his police horse, poppy was thinking that too. “ what shall we do?” asked amy. Poppy new what to do, she touched her horn on the horses leg and trotted home. Amy looked behind her and saw the horse following them, amy didn’t say anything, intill poppy stopped. She said “ turn me into a pony.” so amy said the undoing spell and they trotted to the farm, with the horse following.
CHAPTER 7
Amy put poppy into the stable and threw a rope on the police horse. She tied her up in poppy’s stable and ran to the house. Amy shouted “ mum, dad come quickly” “ whatever is wrong my dear, you’ll be waking the animals soon.” miss Gaggy joked. “ just come, remember the moody police saying he lost his horse?” amy said “ well she is in my horses stable, I found her, in the place by my field.” “ well good job. Gaggy, phone the police. I’ll look at the horse.” so amys mum phoned the police and the police said “ thank you, oh thank you, take this, a chest of gold, its my way of saying thank you”
When amy had the gold she put it in her room, then went to see poppy, her secret unicorn. “ o poppy I’m so glad you’re my unicorn friend” amy smiled. “ and I’m so glad you’re my human friend” whinnied poppy, and with that they went flying over the tree tops and flu home.
The end.

There is something odd about amys pony, poppy, she keeps acting strange when amy looks at her unicorn book, no she can’t be, could she? Is poppy a unicorn? Then a moody police complains about his horse and its up to amy to find her…….

Starfish Island

STAR FISH ISLAND
CHAPTER 1
Once upon a time there was a horse this horse was called biscuit and she had lots of friends, and she had a couple of sisters. There names was: candy, poppy,sunbeam and Lilly. Her friends was called: folly, sugar, shelly, twinkle. One day biscuit wanted to play tag by the river, and only poppy and lilly wanted to play with her.
[ they loved to play tag, they love to]
So they played together peacefully in till poppy accidentally pushed biscuit into the river, poppy cried “oops, I didn’t mean to do that!”
Then biscuit fell into the river, she fell right down to the bottom. Fish swam by and thought it was a sea-horse with legs. Then a sea-horse swam by and looked curiously at whisper and zoomed at her, she fed her a special sea-weed( that made her breath in the water) then she woke up and said “were am I?” then the sea -horse said “under the river! Were else?!” confused she said her name. The sea-horse said “ my name is whisper” and she told her about starfish island and took her there.
“ O ,wow!” biscuit breathed “ its beautiful.” So they explored starfish island. After whisper showed biscuit her island, biscuit thought that her sisters would be worried so she told whisper she had to go home. “Come back soon.” whisper shouted after her, “I will” whisper shouted back. But unfortunately biscuit found her sisters fighting! !What are you doing?” biscuit asked, her sisters turned around in disgrace and snapped back “ what are you doing here?” but before biscuit said anything she heard a little voice “ biscuit, biscuit, its me, whisper. We need your help, starfish island is in trouble, the sharks are coming.” before saying anything she walked back and walked back in till she fell in the water. She met whisper at starfish island and said “I know who could help you” she said its a dolphin, but not just a dolphin, this dolphin can fly!” “huh?” whisper said “ I didn’t know dolphins can fly!” so biscuit sent her pigeon who works for the dolphin. “ hammy get flipper for me and give him this.” ordered biscuit . So hammy grabbed the letter and flew off. “ flipper , flipper, biscuit needs you” replied
Hammy . Then as soon as flipper read it he took off . Mean while, biscuit was having an argument with her sisters , then she saw flipper and walked back and fell in to the water. “ flipper your here, o! met whisper the seahorse” said biscuit “ I am hereto scare off the sharks aren’t I .” sighed flipper . The very next morning whisper screamed because a shark was coming , then she edged the corner as the shark came closer . Then poor whisper shut her eyes in fear as she was going to die, but then suddenly flipper leaped on the shark and yelled “ run away quick , I will do the rest!” so they squirmed off.
A few hours later biscuit and whisper were bored of watching but before they toddled off the shark was scared off. “ I did it girls, starfish island is safe.” flipper said proudly. “ thanks .” whisper breathed. “ well, id better be going, byyyyyye !” shouted flipper. All the sea horses did amazing trick and swam off.

So they played together peacefully in till poppy accidentally pushed biscuit into the river, poppy cried “oops, I didn’t mean to do that!”
Then biscuit fell into the river, she fell right down to the bottom. Fish swam by and thought it was a sea-horse with legs. Then a sea-horse swam by and looked curiously at whisper and zoomed at her, she fed her a special sea-weed( that made her breath in the water) then she woke up and said “were am I?” then the sea -horse said “under the river! Were else?!” confused she said her name. The sea-horse said “ my name is whisper” and she told her about starfish island and took her there.
“ O ,wow!” biscuit breathed “ its beautiful.” So they explored starfish island. After whisper showed biscuit her island, biscuit thought that her sisters would be worried so she told whisper she had to go home. “Come back soon.” whisper shouted after her, “I will” whisper shouted back. But unfortunately biscuit found her sisters fighting! !What are you doing?” biscuit asked, her sisters turned around in disgrace and snapped back “ what are you doing here?” but before biscuit said anything she heard a little voice “ biscuit, biscuit, its me, whisper. We need your help, starfish island is in trouble, the sharks are coming.” before saying anything she walked back and walked back in till she fell in the water. She met whisper at starfish island and said “I know who could help you” she said its a dolphin, but not just a dolphin, this dolphin can fly!” “huh?” whisper said “ I didn’t know dolphins can fly!” so biscuit sent her pigeon who works for the dolphin. “ hammy get flipper for me and give him this.” ordered biscuit . So hammy grabbed the letter and flew off. “ flipper , flipper, biscuit needs you” replied
Hammy . Then as soon as flipper read it he took off . Mean while, biscuit was having an argument with her sisters , then she saw flipper and walked back and fell in to the water. “ flipper your here, o! met whisper the seahorse” said biscuit “ I am hereto scare off the sharks aren’t I .” sighed flipper . The very next morning whisper screamed because a shark was coming , then she edged the corner as the shark came closer . Then poor whisper shut her eyes in fear as she was going to die, but then suddenly flipper leaped on the shark and yelled “ run away quick , I will do the rest!” so they squirmed off.
A few hours later biscuit and whisper were bored of watching but before they toddled off the shark was scared off. “ I did it girls, starfish island is safe.” flipper said proudly. “ thanks .” whisper breathed. “ well, id better be going, byyyyyye !” shouted flipper. All the sea horses did amazing trick and swam off.
